Rock Springs Evangelical Free Church

Pastor Richard Carlson has been ministering in Rock Springs for over 30 years of his 40 years in ministry.  He is a graduate of Trinity College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.  His ministry consists of three deep loves: a deep love for God, a deep love for His Word, and a deep love for people.  This shows itself in strong preaching from the Word of God, gentle and yet direct counseling, and exciting evangelism both here in the U.S. and in many nations around the world.  Pastor Carlson has written much and has published a book entitled, "Hope for the Home", (from which he conducts three day seminars for the family in churches, schools, academies, and colleges) as well as writing inspirational articles entitled, "Stop, Look and Listen" for the local newspaper.  Among his ministry responsibilities, he also is the District Superintendent for the Intermountain West District of the Evangelical Free Church of America.  He and his wife, Jinny, are the parents of 7 grown children, and 14 grandchildren.  Jinny's ministry is in one-on-one discipleship and women's teaching.  She is also a certified doula for expectant couples.  She and Pastor Carlson have celebrated over 40 years of marriage.

 

Pastor Larry Johnson has been ministering as Associate Pastor at the Rock Springs Evangelical Free Church since 1996. Prior to this time of service, he pastored for 18 years and also served as a District Superintendent for 10 years. Pastor Larry believes the most important part of his ministry is preaching and teaching the Word of God and seeking to lead the lost to Christ. He has conducted church revival meetings, camp meetings, and Pastors Seminars across the United States and Canada.  Pastor Larry received his training for ministry and completed his requirements for ministry at Miltonvale Wesleyan College, today known as Oklahoma Wesleyan University. He was also awarded a Doctor of Divinity from that University in 1992.  His wife, Dorie, is a Medical Transcriptionist at Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital as well as being integrally involved in women's ministry and as special music coordinator here at Rock Springs Evangelical Free Church. Pastor Larry and Dorie are the parents of three adult children and 6 grandchildren.  

Pastor Zaqueo Rodriguez is the Pastor of the Spanish Evangelical Free Church. He had been in ministry in Mexico for about 5 years prior to immigrating to the United States.  He has been pastoring here for a little over 10 years.  He has attended Bible College in Matamoros, Mexico.  Pastor Zaqueo has a calling to plant Spanish EFC churches all across the Intermountain West District.  He has already planted churches in Huntington, UT, Midvale, UT, and Delta, UT.  His ministry is characterized by passionate evangelism and hospitable pastoring.  His faithful wife, Sylvia, supports her husband in his ministry endeavors.  They are the parents of 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
